ABOUT ME
My journey into photography started around 10 years old when my dad took me to Meeker, Colorado to photograph a sheepdog herding show. It was an uncommon event to capture, but the experience of chasing those skilled canine herders through my viewfinder sparked my love for action photography. Growing up in Vernal, Utah, I continued to develop my skills throughout middle and high school, photographing everything from farm animals to friends playing sports.
After earning my degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations from Brigham Young University, I delved deeper into the art of storytelling through visuals. At BYU, I had the opportunity to photograph various NCAA DI teams, particularly enjoying the challenges of women's volleyball and football. This led to collaborations with esteemed publications like Sports Illustrated and USA Today.
Over the years, I further honed my craft while working full time at Utah Valley University. Currently, I work as a communications manager at the University of Utah. Apart from my professional roles at these institutions, I've had the privilege of photographing iconic sports teams such as the Utah Jazz, LA Kings, and Real Salt Lake, as well as covering thrilling events like NCAA Men's Basketball March Madness.
